A new milestone for Avery

Well Avery had been walking around things she did walk a couple steps by herself but that was it. On saturday we went over to our friends house for a BBQ and Miss Avery stood up on her own not holding onto anything and started walking she was a little weeble wobble but she did it on her own!! Since then she gets up and walks all the time she is still learning how to balance herself while walking but I'm so proud of all her accomplishments its soo exciting watching her grow up and do the things she does!!

Up to date!!

Its been awhile since I have blogged we have been pretty busy the past couple of months well ever since Robbie got back from deployment! We have been traveling on the weekends we went to Houston for a cubs astros game which was a lot of fun we went to galveston as well and saw the ocean which was really pretty!! During this trip to Houston we went to San Antonio for one night and went to Tanger and Prime outlet i loved it there lots of cool shops there which i hope we go back to sometime!! We have also been to Oklahoma city to watch the triple A team for the cubies which was fun but soo hottt it was 110 but thank goodness we moved our seats to the shade!! Now we are gearing up for Robbie's parents to come here next week to visit for his reinlistment they leave sunday and so do we for Wyoming Im excited for wyoming trip i miss it there and it will be nice for all of us to go this time!! I will post new pictures of the next few weeks!!

My parent's come to visit and Avery's 1st bday!!

My parent's came down from Wyoming for Avery's 1st birthday!! My dad had never been here before and he wanted to check out the town i live in now!! We picked them up from the airport and went to eat some lunch and just hungout that day with them. Friday we went to Frontier Texas to learn about the history which Abilene is part of which was a really cool place to go I think we all enjoyed listening about it! We watched this short film and it was loud and miss avery fell asleep i guess it didnt entertain her!! Later that night we went golfing and then out to dinner it was alot of fun golfing i sure do miss it wish we could do it more often maybe sometime soon:) Saturday morning me and my mama went to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses i tried on 3 we both thought the first one i tried on was the one it was beautiful!! The next one i tried on wasn't my cup of tea but it was a pretty dress and the 3rd one i tried on i knew it was my dress I loved it soo much it was the perfect wedding dress for me and I can not wait to wear it next year when we renew our vows and have the perfect dream wedding!!!! After the dress trying on we went to our house so we could have avery's birthday party we grilled up some hot dogs and hamburgers and had some cake and ice cream!! it was a lot of fun!!! Avery made a mess out of her cake she looked like she had face paint on!! All in all it was a fun time with my parents and im glad they were able to make it wish my lil sis could of come but her schooling and degree's come first!!! 

Indiana/Tennessee Trip

Robbie Me, Michael and Kent all went golfing tuesday morning which was a lot of fun, all of us like to play best ball and it was just a good time playing some golf and catching some rays wow was that a hotttttt day!! But it was definitely a fun trip and we have the pictures to remember:)

Sunday when we got back to Robbie's parents house we had a 1st birthday party for Avery it was nice to see everyone again and meet some new faces too!! We had a tigger cake made for her but she just didnt want anything to do with shoving all that yummy cake in her mouth she wanted to be fed with a spoon!!! It was still a lot of fun!!

It was fun to just check out Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Severville there all really close to eachother, Gatlinburg definitely reminded me of Wyoming it was very pretty there. 

While Robbie had some time off from work we went back to his hometown for a week visit didn't spend a whole lot of time in Indiana/Kentucky we went to Gatlinburg, TN from Thursday-Sunday which was a lot of fun, we stayed in a cabin and it was definitely an adventure but what trip isn't fun without adventures!!! We ended up going to a baseball game its the double A team for the Cubies which happens to be Robbie's favorite team, and Ryan Sandberg is the teams head coach which he played for the cubies awhile ago. SO that was really exciting for Robbie to get his Ryan Sandberg jersey autograph now we have to go get a jersey case for it so we can hang it up!! After the Game they had an amazing fireworks display which was incredible way better than 4th of july fireworks in casper!! LOL. 

It was fun to just check out Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Severville there all really close to eachother, Gatlinburg definitely reminded me of Wyoming it was very pretty there. 

        We also spent sometime with The Monohan grandparents and the Banet Grandparents on monday and tuesday respectively it was nice to sit down with them and visit for awhile. While at the Banet's Robbie's sister and husband and kiddos brought their lil ducks which were soo cute i chased them around and held them and they were ohhh soo soft now i want a lil ducky LOL:)

Avery's First haircut

Today we went to go get Avery's first haircut, she definitely needed it because her hair was coming down over her ears and just needed a lil TLC to it. We went to Cool cuts for kids and dang was that an expensive lil haircut, $16.95 for a lil trim don't think we are going to go there until she really needs a haircut!! Avery did very well and sat there and put the steering wheel of the lil car she was in because it felt good on her lil teeth!!

Finally Robbie made it home safe and sound on May 11th 2009 at 1:00PM it was definitely nice for me and avery to see him~ I was surprised at how fast his deployment went by but somedays and weeks did drag on which was hard. It was nice to be able to give him a hug and kiss again and to see him in person rather than on webcam which would work when it wanted to because of the internet connection overseas. Avery was a lil hesitant at first when I tried to give her to Robbie but as the night progressed she definitely opened up to him and went to him which was really nice to see. He missed so many new things that she did and said in the past 4 months that i want them to get that bond back to how it was before he left. Its really nice just hanging out at home playing with avery and having our alone time when she goes to bed!

After the airshow avery and i got home and were relaxing and hanging out i got online to check a few things and she had all her toys on the floor with her. After a few minutes i realized that she was being awfully quiet so i looked under the table and low and behold there was miss avery with her can of formula poured out and she was eating it yes eating it! YUCKY She got the formula out of her diaper bag and was playing with it. She now knows how to open cans with lids on them by using her bottom teeth to open it....I watch her like a lil hawk she is always trying to get into things even though she has all her toys to play with thats just not good enough for her!!!

AirShow

Well today we went to the Airshow at the Airport and saw 2 C-130 cargo planes we even got to go up inside and check things out that was pretty kewl! The weather was very yucky today we had rain and fog and it was cold it looks like the clouds might break up so me and avery and a friend of mine and her kiddos might go back and watch the acrobatic airplanes which would be pretty kewl to see!! i did take lots of pictures of the different armed forces planes which i will be posting shortly!!! All in all it was a pretty "cool" day to go out and check out these planes but i still had fun doing it!!!

Yucky Weather

This week has definitely gone by fast I cant believe its already thursday. We haven't had that great of weather the past week either which has sucked, we have had 2 tornado watches which have lasted about 12 and 6 hours respectively and its just been gloomy that avery and i haven't been able to get outside and enjoy our walks. Today is the first day we have actually had sunshine but its still windy i thought that i moved away from windy wyoming but i guess not. Well since it has been gloomy I have been able to work on our house and get rid of items i don't need or want anymore for our garage sale this summer sometime. Its also been nice hanging out and playing with avery she loves to be chased she becomes one speedy crawler thats for sure!! 

    I am looking forward to this weekend we have the airshow on saturday and that should be a lot of fun!! I'll post pictures of the airshow along with a blog this weekend!!

oh yayy we have a big girl now!

While waiting patiently to get our photo's taken at Sears (April 11th 2009) mind you we had been waiting for an hour or so before we even got pictures taken but we were there a total of three hours ridiculous, Anyhow while waiting my sister was playing on the floor with Avery and she had this spinning toy and low and behold Avery grace got up on her knees and hands and crawled to that toy a lil rough at it at first almost fell a few times but she made it!! Now all she does is crawl everywhere thank god i baby proofed our house before i left except she wants the TV receiver she loves going up and turning the volume up really REALLY LOUD!!! Avery is also pulling herself up on the coffee table the couch climbing all over me while i play on the floor with her i just cant believe how big she is getting and what a lil person she is becoming it makes me sad that she is almost 1 wow where did all the time go??

Wyoming Trip

Avery and I went to Wyoming my mom flew down here to drive back with us which was really nice to spend some time with her since i had not seen her since Oct. The drive went by so fast it was nice i was ready to get back to Wyo and see my dad and sister! Everyone that moves away from Casper always tells me that you will miss it and i always said ya right but in fact i do miss it there its really pretty!! I love WYOMING!!!

It was a nice visit with family and see old friends i had not seen in a long time. It was fun to spend some quality time with my dad too and just goof off and laugh that was really cool and it was pretty fun beating him and my sister at Mario KART woo hoo I am the champion!!! 

      

Well while I was there i encountered 3 blizzards yes 3 it was soo cold and it was crazy to see how much snow we had got i thought it was supposed to be spring not winter!! One of the blizzards we got like 10 inches of snow and casper mountain received 14 inches a crazy amount of snow. Well and before all this snow came it was 60 degrees and sunny out and then came all the snow but they do need the moisture but come on RAIN would have definitely been nicer;)

The drive back to Abilene took forever i thought we would never get back home but we finally did at 1:00Am due to all the stops with endured along the way!!! My mama stayed here for a few days before leaving and it was sad to see her leave but i will see her and my dad in June for Avery's Birthday! 

Our journey that made us a family!

Robbie and I started dating Aug 3, 2007 (wow almost 2 years ago thats hard to believe) we started dating right before he left to good ole Abilene Tex-ass. Things went really good it was soo much fun spending the time with him before he left! Come Oct 1st Robbie headed to Texas where he would be stationed at, that was a really hard day to say bye to someone who really meant a lot to me. I ended up going back to casper and ended up taking a pregnancy test to prove to my sister that i wasn't pregnant because she thought i was pregnant because i ended up in the ER in Cheyenne for a severe tooth ache. I ended up taking the pregnancy test and when the 3 or 5 min whatever was up i saw a second faint line i ended up taking 2 pregnancy tests and they both had faint second line. The next day i ended up at public health and they had confirmed that i was pregnant with Miss Avery. I loved being pregnant except the last few weeks with back problems and excessive swelling that was not a good time at all but in the end on June 4th, 2008 at 11:01PM our lives changed with the birth of our baby girl Avery Grace Monohan. One of the best days of my lives. It was awesome to see Robbie and his family when they came out to wyoming to see her. The day they got to WYO robbie and i went to my apartment and he proposed to me and it was another great day in my life to know that i was(AM) going to spend the rest of my life with him!! So June 19th 2008 we ended up getting married in a friends backyard with just family there it was private and nice. We are actually starting to plan our big wedding which will be June 19, 2010!! This is where all of you can keep up on wedding plans too!!!
